If you have been keeping your eyes open then you will have seen our fantastic entry into this year’s Harvey’s Scarecrow Trail – did you guess it correctly? It was Owl Babies by Martin Waddell and Patrick Benson of course!
Harvey’s Scarecrows originated to help 9 year old Harvey Hext fundraise for treatment of neuroblastoma, an aggressive childhood cancer. Sadly, Harvey died in November last year and in his memory A Sibling’s Wish has been founded.
The hope is to provide Children’s Hospice South West and similar organisations with beautiful wooden memory boxes for children who are coping with the loss of a sibling – a unique gift to treasure forever and keep safe precious memories. For further information about the charity go to www.asiblingswish.com
A memory box costs £250 to create; so Harvey’s Scarecrows is hoping to raise enough money to fund 10 boxes for children who need them. We hope you enjoyed our scarecrow and found all the others and helped reach this worthy target!
