Every Thursday morning, we celebrate the rain, sun or snow and embark on our adventure into the forest. We have an excellent opportunity to explore and discover within the conservation area of Bishop Sutton Primary School in a safe and exciting woodland environment. Each child is provided with their own outfit, back pack, name tag and drinks bottle ready for the adventure ahead and we are able to carry out all aspects of our care and learning within this setting.
“Children [at Bishop Sutton Forest Club] thrive in the outdoor environment, where they feel safe to enthusiastically explore and make discoveries. Children show fascination as they listen to the birds and spot a blackbird. Staff channel children’s thinking exceedingly well with effective questioning and introduce more specific vocabulary as children begin to make comparisons.
